ADELAIDE’S BIGGEST NON-EVENT

Most charities want their events to be anything but non-events - but not Technical Aid to the Disabled SA (TADSA).

Rather than compete with the many $100+ per ticket, black tie dinners that are held in Adelaide every year, we has decided to hold a non-event. “Attending a black tie event can be expensive for the guests who not only have to pay for their tickets but often babysitters, new clothes, hair do’s, not to mention expensive drinks” says TADSA public relations officer Ian Beaton (pictured in his pyjamas donating at home).

Instead of organising an actual event, we’re asking invitees to donate what they would save by not attending.

As the invitation says “Technical Aid to The Disabled S.A doesn’t need you to go out, or even go out of your way … we’d just appreciate your support. So stay put, slack off, and simply visit www.tadsa.org.au (click on Donation) to make a donation. Donations over $2 are tax deductible, and the cash you might have spent on a fancy dinner can be put to use by our volunteers helping South Australians with disabilities stay mobile and live independently.

THE TADSA NON-EVENT – YOU REALLY CAN’T MISS IT! Ian in PJs

TIME: right now! VENUE: wherever you can access the internet  RSVP: no need!

DRESS: if you like, or by all means donate nude in the privacy of your own home!*

Remember … you’re going nowhere at all and simply donating at www.tadsa.org.au helps South Australians with disabilities discover the really big events – like the freedom to simply move, walk, talk and live independently.*TADSA’s Ian Beaton recommends pyjamas.”
