Disability SA is a business unit of the Department for Families and Communities. Disability SA's Independent Living Centre provides an information service about products and equipment for independent living including suppliers of products and costs of products. Products and equipment on display can be demonstrated, discussed and trialed with an occupational therapist. Mobile outreach service visits country areas. Speakers and displays available. The Independent Living Centre is not a sales outlet. We are open Mon-Fri 9am to 5pm |

The SA Government has released a new, free Internet-based service directory – the Human Services Finder, allowing the South Australian public to quickly locate health and other community services in the area. The Finder provides detailed information on the human services provided by the government, community and private sectors in South Australia. It also includes public and community transport information that can be displayed on a map. You can easily:
As a comprehensive source of detailed information on health, housing, family and community services, you can find out about over 10,000 services provided by 3,000 providers from 3,800 sites. Private health professionals are also included (eg. Chiropractors, Counsellors, Dentists, General Practitioners, Occupational Therapists, Pharmacists, Physiotherapists, Podiatrists, Psychologists, Speech Pathologists and more). |

PARAQUAD SA is The Paraplegic and Quadriplegic Association of South Australia. A not for profit community organisation, PARAQUAD SA is committed to serving and promoting the best interests of people with disabilities in a manner which recognises their worth and dignity, their right to experience life’s events and develop their full potential.
PARAQUAD SA achieves this through providing information, advice and referral for accommodation, providing peer support, counselling and advocacy, offering family support services and raising community awareness.
PARAQUAD SA is a vibrant community organisation working with and for people affected by spinal cord injuries in South Australia. This includes those with the injury and their family and friends. The not for profit community organisation is run by a team of dedicated staff and passionate volunteers, and relies on government grants, donations and fundraising to continue its essential services to the community.
PARAQUAD SA provides services to a wide network of communities across South Australia.

TADACT, is a voluntary organisation whose mission is to improve the quality of life of people with disabilities and the ageing by designing and making innovative aids that are not otherwise available. People needing help can approach us themselves or be referred by others, for example their carers, health professionals or simply concerned citizens. The only eligibility qualification to call on our services is that you need our assistance due to aging or have a disability. Our client base therefore ranges from the very young to the elderly. We operate in the Australian Capital Territory and in the surrounding region and would like to hear from you if you need our services, or if you would like to help our work. |

TADQ (Technical Aid to the Disabled, Queensland Inc) is a not-for-profit organisation and registered charity that provides technical support for people with disabilities. TADQ celebrated it's 25th Anniversary on 7th Sept 2006. TADQ takes requests from therapists and individuals to adapt or modify existing items, or to fully create new ones. This project work is done by highly-skilled Technical Volunteers for the cost of materials. Recent TADQ projects include grocery winches, fold-down shower seats, hair-dryer stands, writing aids; tricycle modifications, extended easels, and tactile floor modules for children. TADQ is located in Newstead, Brisbane, and supports regional co-ordinators across the state. |

With main offices in Sydney and a corps of volunteers throughout NSW, Technical Aid to the Disabled (NSW) has been serving people with disabilities for over 30 years and have developed over 25,000 devices that have assisted people with disabilities from all age groups. After 30 years of being housed at the Royal Rehabilitation Centre Sydney, TADNSW has finally found a new home for TADHouse. The new premises at Northmead are ideally situated near the centre of Sydney and are in a convenient location for volunteers and staff. |

TADTAS is an association of volunteers that provide technical customized mobility aids for Tasmanians with disabilities and has assisted Tasmanians with disabilities since 1990. Highly skilled TADTAS volunteers are able to assess your needs. We can plan innovative solutions and manufacture products to assist people with mobility difficulties. TADTAS volunteers will modify existing products or design new products to help make your life easier. |

TADVIC is an organisation whose volunteer members design, construct or modify equipment for people with disabilities. This service is provided where no commercially available solution will meet their needs. TADVIC is staffed by part time occupational therapists, who co-ordinate metropolitan projects, and administration support staff. We are funded by a grant from the Department of Human Services and donations. |

Technology Assisting Disability WA Inc. (TADWA) is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to improving the quality of life for people with disabilities, the frail aged, and those caring for them, through the application of technology and the skills of volunteers. TADWA started out in 1984 when a number of Telecom employees banded together to supply communications equipment for a person with a disability. Since that time TADWA has broadened its range of services and helped many individuals and families throughout the state. TADWA operates through the activities of a pool of volunteers with a broad range of design, engineering, paramedical, craft, electronic, mechanical, computer and administrative skills. The volunteers devote their time and skills to develop, construct and modify devices. |
