For Trevor, the task of holding a fishing hook for baiting one-handed was not as simple as it seemed. He was beyond delighted when TADSA Tech Maestro, Mike devised an over centre clamping mechanism to easily attach a short pole to the chair, on top of which is a small table. Mike modified the table to contain some nifty little compartments that can hold a drink can, bait, a cutting board, a receptacle to hold the fishing rod, and of course the hook baiting mechanism. The table can be rotated so that the hook can be inserted at a comfortable angle, then turned around. For the single-handed operation of the fishing rod, Mike used a spring-loaded pair of pliers, that Trevor can open with the ball of his thumb as he locates the hook in the jaws with his fingers. Off he goes fishing and why not! After all, he can finally enjoy fishing without having to constantly get assistance to re-bait the hook! The magic of AT has certainly made him ‘Clever Trevor’!
