We’re a unique South Australian charity that has been making life easier for people living with disability and the aged for 40 years.
Freedom Wheels is a wonderful program where TADSA volunteers modify standard bikes with a range of prefabricated accessories so that children with disabilities can do something that most of us take for granted – ride a bike.
TADSA must be the only charity whose patron is armed. Our patron Libby Kosmala is a Paralympian who competed at her first Paralympic Games in 1972. She received a Medal of the Order of Australia in 1985
Guide Dogs SA/NT came to TADSA to ask us if we could build a dog simulator for children so they could train with it before starting work with a real dog.

When children need to use parallel bars or a treadmill for exercise or rehabilitation, it’s almost impossible for their parents to find the appropriately sized equipment.
When Bill wanted to play bowls while using his walker, he had to make sure the walker did not cause undue damage to the green and complied with Bowls SA requirements.
