Some people are not able to control their feet and they may slip forward or backwards off their wheelchair footplates. TADSA tech member John Stevens made this agile footplate foot holder strap to prevent our client’s mother from getting injured when she is on the move in her wheelchair. Her feet can now be attached to the footplate and then fastened over the top of the shoe and around the back of the heel. Once done, her feet would remain in place. The footplate strap was a quick and easy solution, but it made a world of difference for this energetic lady who loves to be ‘in motion’.
