We met this 83-year, lifelong cycling sensation with his treasured road bike. John aspires to elevate his cycling efforts, despite limitations riding outdoors. He would not let go of this ‘bike BFF’ and approached TADSA to find him a solution to enable him to be able to cycle indoors. TADSA bike tech genius Mike Coles was the ‘tour de force’ of the story when he adapted John’s bike with a stationary bike mechanism and mounting frame. A small step, 80mm in height was custom-made to fit in the limited space near the seat and rear wheel area, with enough clearance to not cause interference when pedaling. Clever Mike also made two sets of steps to fit either side of John’s bike so he can mount/ dismount the bike from any side that he likes.
