It’s a tail-wagging-worthy walk in your wheelchair

Walking the dog is one of the best ways of getting a good dose of fresh air and exercise not to mention the numerous other social benefits.  However, powered wheelchair users like William face many challenges when walking their dog as the lead tends to get tangled in the wheel of the gopher.  TADSA tech member Trevor was out to solve this with a fully customised dog leash attachment. He designed a pole and a swivel arm so the lead stays tangle-free to prevent snags and hang-ups. Trev also customised the dog lead attachment so that it’s transferable to 3 different power wheelchairs. There goes a happy William and his dog who now has ample freedom to run around the gopher.
