TADSA is proud to empower the fastest-growing sport for athletes with a disability.

Inclusivity is all about providing opportunities and that’s exactly what Project ‘My Active Life’ (MAL), powered by TADSA is all about. The project which started creating pathways for people to engage in sport and recreation through Freedom Wheels bike experiences has now extended into a multitude of other ‘active’ domains. Swim and water safety, badminton, walking netball, social dancing, inclusive gym fitness, equine therapy and frame-running are just a few that we have built capacity in, empowered to commence and inspired to sustain.

To date, we have had thousands of people from all walks of life engage in and enhance their physical and mental wellbeing though our ‘TADSA-MAL inspired’ programs.  This is our ‘newest kid on the block’; wheelchair basketball.  What was empowered as a trial day has now become a weekly program with a fantastic team spirit that brings together people from many parts of SA. Regardless of whether they are at the highest level or starting out, Wheelchair Basketball has the potential to create a truly inclusive sporting environment for all of us to embrace.
