This client has no mobility below her waist and had difficulty transferring from her wheelchair to her bed. She had been using a rope attached to the far side of the bed to help pull herself up, but the gap between the wheelchair and the bed along with the height difference were making things quite challenging.
Ken of TADSA came to her rescue. He designed and constructed this special timber panel with a 16mm elevation and also installed a timber rail at the far side to prevent the mattress moving away. The timber panel has ventilation holes to secure further movement by the mattress. To give her more freedom and comfort, Ken also fitted wooden raisers under the bed legs which added a further 20mm in bed height. Our client is extremely happy with the ‘one lift and shift’ comfort that TAD provided her with.
