We had a client whose mobility device kept rolling down the ramp when it was lifted and pushed into the back of his van. He was thinking that his mobility device needed a repair or modification for a smoother upward roll. Along came Don, our TAD expert who did some assessments on the vehicle and the ramp and devised an L-shaped solid foam rubber plate that can be placed under the top of the ramp that also sits steady on top of the bumper. With the perfectly shaped foam plate (that was customized after a few trials), Don was able to get the ramp at the correct height that allowed the mobility scooter to smoothly slide up the ramp without bottoming out. The outcome was simply amazing; this is just one of the ways that TADSA empowers independence across all walks of the community.
