We talked with writer, motivational speaker, and mentor, Jacy Arthur, in February this year and asked her why she seeks the help of TADSA Technical Volunteers. “I was born with cerebral palsy (CP). I face challenges to my independence day in and day out. I am one of about 40,000 Australians living with CP. Do you know that one in every 500 babies is diagnosed with CP at birth?” Known as the ‘queen of ideation’ Jacy says that through hard work and determination, ‘anything and everything’ are possible when external barriers to access and mobility are overcome, and design is inclusive. “I call on TADSA when no one else can”.
