Mike Coles's Projects

A Bowler’s Happiness
Peter needed a device mounted to his wheelchair that could carry up to four lawn bowling balls. A simple steel bracket/frame was mounted to the left side of his wheelchair, with a sloping tray so that bowls can be carried, and as the front one is taken the others roll forward to become more easily accessible.
Lightweight Trolley
Whether she is working in the garden, taking her washing loads or shopping, Anna finds joy in her daily activities. Thanks to this lightweight trolley for which TAD installed lightweight wheels, she is able accomplish these tasks independently. With 360˚ rotating wheels, the trolley offers exceptional maneuverability, facilitating effortless navigation.
Footguard and T-stick attachment on his Power Wheelchair
Ashely wanted his power wheelchair fitted with a custom bull bar/footguard produced by our expert volunteers that would also have an attachable mount in front of the guard to carry his t-stick to play hockey. Mike Coles of TADSA did a brand-new design that totally complies with hockey rules while making this ‘cool’ sport attachment safe, solid, and sturdy.
Amalgamated Page Turner
Page turners are lightweight devices that make reading easier. Mike of TADSA recently made modifications to this little page turner by amalgamating it with an electronic scanner for easy scrutiny to give our client, an easy way of doing this independently.
For a Fantastic one-handed Fishing Experience
TADSA devised a ‘one handed’ fishing device for a client with centre clamping mechanism to easily attach a short pole to the chair, with a small swivel table. The table was modified with little compartments- drink can holder, bait, cutting board, fishing rod holder, and hook baiting mechanism.
Cycle Modified with Mounting Mechanism
This bike enthusiast approached TADSA to find him a solution to enable him to be able to cycle indoors. TADSA made him an adaptive bike with a stationary bike mechanism and mounting frame. A small step, 80mm in height was custom-made to fit in the limited space near the seat and rear wheel area, with enough clearance to not cause interference when pedaling.
