Originally a furniture maker, I worked in disability support for 18 years. Now retired, TADSA offers me opportunity to use my furniture making skills for the good of others.

Skills and experience in metal work, wood work, welding and general technical skills

David’s skills and experience is in electronics and communications.

Des Chabrel has been a tech maker at TADSA since 2011, specialising in crafting and customising bikes and trikes for children and adults. He focuses on tailored modifications that enhance mobility and independence, supported by extensive experience in metalwork.

Des joined TADSA in 2013 because he had the time and a range of skills to help improve TADSA client’s wellbeing and lifestyle.

Eric joined TADSA in 2010. He states his reasons for doing so are simple – ‘I have time and want to help people’. Eric brings fitting/machining, woodworking and tube fabrication skills to the TADSA technical team.

Gary retired from a technical career in defence and joined TADSA in 2023. He likes to make practical things in wood and metal to help people out.

Glen joined TADSA in 2023. He is a Class A Electrician and brings metalwork, woodwork, electrical and computing skills to the technical team.

John, a fitter and turner by trade joined TADSA in 2017.

A mechanic by trade, Mark is also a class 2 welder and holds a C2 Heavy Vehicle licence.

Michael works with wood, metal, and plastics. Through his diverse skills and unwavering passion, he has been contributing to the success of TADSA since 1995.

Mike is a telecommunications technician with skills and experience in a range of work including metal fabrication, tube fabrication, sheet metal, automotive and woodwork, electrical and electronics, computer and communications. He also holds a Certificate 4 in Small Business Management.

Peter is an aircraft maintenance engineer and brings his skills and experience in metalwork, woodwork, tube fabricating, fibreglass and plastics and laser engraving. 

Ralph joined TADSA in 2010 and is currently volunteers his time managing the volunteer team and technical projects. A qualified tradesman, he is a fitter & turner and industrial engineer. Ralph is skilled and experienced in fitting and machining, metal fabrication, sheet metal and automotive work and is a capable draftsman.

A diesel mechanic by trade, Stan also offers his experience in plumbing, electrical, concrete, building and carpentry and has experience in fitting and machining, metal fabrication, tube fabrication, sheet metal, automotive, woodwork, upholstery and webbing and fibreglass/plastics. Stan joined TADSA in 2011.

Stuart has been a member of the TADSA technical team since 2010. He is an electrical engineer (specialising in automation and control). He graduated as a Design and Technical Teacher shortly after. His skills and experience include woodworking, electrical, electronic, computer, communication and measurement/control.

Terry joined TADSA in 2008 bringing 3D design, metalwork, woodwork, industrial design and drafting skills to the TADSA technical team.

Theo joined the TADSA technical team in 2013 offering his skills and experience in woodwork and upholstery and webbing. He has an industrial sewing machine and is a qualified industrial engineer.

Trevor joined TADSA in 2012 and offers his skills and experience in fitting and machining, metal fabrication, sheet metal, industrial design and drafting, along with mechanical design industrial engineering. He is a qualified tradesman – fitter and turner, and holds an associate diploma mechanical design and industrial engineering and management.
