Vicki, a member of our community, loved going on walks but faced a unique challenge. She relies on an oxygen bottle during her outings and until now has used a small pram with elastic straps to transport it. While this worked for a short time, it soon loosened making the bottle tip or fall out.
That’s where Mike, a dedicated volunteer from TADSA, stepped in. With his keen eye for problem-solving, Mike crafted an ingenious aluminum frame that could lock onto Vicki’s pram. By utilizing the pram’s seat, this simple yet effective solution allows Vicki to securely carry her oxygen bottle, empowering her to enjoy longer and more fulfilling community walks. This story reminds us that sometimes the most impactful solutions are the ones that are thoughtful, and tailored to the individual’s needs by listening, empathizing, and leveraging our collective creativity.
