My Active Life: Inspiring inclusive sport and recreation

Powered by TADSA through an ILC grant, the ‘My Active Life’ (MAL) project aims to create opportunity for anyone with a disability to engage in sport and recreation of their choice.

Over the past year, MAL funded and built many pathways for people to indulge in a wide range of activities, creating multiples of ‘I can do’ moments in bike riding, trike riding, art and craft, lawn bowls, water sport, mini golf, pickleball and much more.

Each and every participant in MAL-inspired programs have shown positive transformation; from being able to balance an assisted bike for the first time in their life, showcasing their beautifully hand-crafted pottery, making a power-win from a single pickleball serve to fostering an enduring friendship with colleagues and the community. These programs are presented free of charge.

Our funding extends to help build more inclusive programs and events to encourage people to participate, enhance their wellbeing and create a platform to enjoy themselves.
