Jacy is a staunch advocate for ‘independent living’. A writer, motivational speaker and philanthropist, Jacy also runs her own chaperone-travel-buddy service. Jacy called TADSA to find a practical solution to help her independently lift and transport her wheelie bins down the street and back.

Bin-carrier trolley

Technical volunteers Bruce and John came up with a fantastic, functional bin-carrier trolley.   This easy bin lifter is supported by a hydraulic jack providing a quick means of lifting loads without any strain on the back. Jacy need only to exert minimal pumping action to raise the bin, release the small handle to lock the bin in and do the reverse when placing her bins back. Two sets of hooks are welded to the top of the carrier to attach varying heights of bins. Jacy is thrilled to have her name imprinted on the trolley. A girl for vibrant colours, Jacy wanted her new ‘lifter-carrier’ in pink and pink it is!
