Minimising manual handling
Our client lives in a rental property so home modifications were not permissible. So our task was to find a practical solution that worked within the constraints of the existing environment.

Our client’s current shower bench setup, while functional, posed challenges for the partner/carer in terms of the manual handling required. Lockable wheels added to the legs of the shower bench allows the bench to be easily moved in and out of the shower alcove, while providing the necessary stability and security when in use. By minimising the manual pushing and pulling, we have helped reduce the physical strain on the partner/carer, making the showering process more sustainable in the long run. Another thoughtful approach to enhance quality of life without significantly altering the existing environment.
